About Mueller
Master-planned, parks-first, family favorite
Built on the former municipal airport site, Mueller is Austin's most complete master-planned community: greenbelts, a lake, a town center and homes designed around front porches rather than garages.
Row houses, yard homes and garden courts give it more price variety than most of central Austin, and the neighborhood's energy standards are among the strictest in the city.
Living in Mueller
Mueller is a master-planned redevelopment of Austin's former municipal airport, built around a central lake park, greenways and a walkable retail district. It feels more planned and uniform than the rest of East Austin.
The homes
Row homes, garden courts, yard houses and condos built from the mid-2000s onward, most of them energy-efficient and many with solar and rear-loaded garages. Lots are small by design.
Getting around
Dell Children's, the Thinkery, Alamo Drafthouse, HEB and a weekly farmers market are inside the district. Downtown is about fifteen minutes by car.
Good to know
Homes carry HOA dues and design guidelines, and a portion of the inventory is income-restricted through the affordable program. Confirm which category a home falls under before writing.
